Statue of Juhani Aho in EIRA park

We went down, to the direction to the sea.
At the entrance of the EIRA residential district,
we found a statue of a man. The man was named,
Juhani AHO. We laughed when we found his name plate
because 'AHO' means 'an idiot' in Japanese language.
We have learnt that 'AHO' was very popular name as a
Finnish family name and that the statue of that man,
Juhani AHO was known as a memory of a Finnish famous
novelist, AHO Juhani among Helsinki people. Was he living
in that district EIRA, his house still remains there?

I have confirmed afterwards that one of his novel,
'Juha' was realized by a Finnish Director of film,
Aki Kaurismäki in 1999. The novel was well known
among Finnish and Aki Kaurismäki had been dreamed to
realize it for long time.

My wife took a photo of me with AHO's statue.
A woman in the house in the park had been observing
us and she was surely wondering what we were doing
with the statue....

EIRA district: Houses, bed towns
After walking thru the antique street of boutiques, Uudenmaankatu,
we did not return back to the center city, nor market place.
We went to the slope way down to the direction of sea.

There down to the direction to the harbour, we saw a lot of
colourful architecture of houses, appartment and churches.

Down the slope way, we saw many houses in full of green trees
and realized this was a district of EIRA that views the harbour
of Helsinki sea.

Kids of EIRA bedtown were running on the green and the father
took care of them before dinner.

Our First Visit in Helisnki
On 5th of July 2006, I took an airbus of FINNAIR,
with my wife, for Helisinki at the aeroport Kansai,
Japan.

It was just 9 hours of flihgt from Osaka to
Helsinki and I did not get any stresse during the
flight thanks for enough seat space that FINNAIR
prepared for me and my wife.

In the evening, after we have checked-in at the
KAMP Hotel in the center of Helsinki town, we
went out walking downtown Helsinki.

It was about 18:00 and people were starting dinner with
family. I think most of Helsinki people take a dinner in
their house with their family. However, because of the summer
day light that continue until past 22:00, people looked enjoying
walking and had meal outside in this best summer season.

Suppose that all schools have been already closed at the
beginning of July and the students were enjoying good summer
vacation with friends and family before starting the new
semester beginning of October? 90 days holidays for kids...

My wife and me have found a very lovely boutique of woman wear
on the street of Kamome-Shokudo, 15 Uudenmaankatu. The boutique
name was 'Ivana Helsinki' that I could confirm that it was famous
boutique brand all over the world. www.ivanahelsinki.com

We took some snap shots in front of Suomi Kamome Shokudo
bistro and go downtown to the harbour, the sea.
